3–6 daysTypical job

One wall, done properly, changes a room.

Texture, metallic, lime and concrete finishes — applied by hand, on a sample panel you approve first.

The short answer

What texture and metallic painting costs.

Texture and metallic feature wall painting in Bengaluru costs ₹120 to ₹450 per square foot. A typical 10×9 foot feature wall runs ₹11,000–₹40,000 depending on the finish. It is priced per square foot of feature wall, not per room, because it is hand-applied specialist work.

What matters here

How to use a feature finish well.

The mistakes are predictable, and all of them are about restraint.

01

One wall per room, at most

A texture finish works because it contrasts with flat walls around it. Two textured walls in one room cancel each other out and the room reads busy rather than considered.

02

Choose the wall the light rakes across

Texture is only visible when light crosses it at an angle. On a wall lit flat-on it disappears and you have paid for nothing. We pick the wall based on your window and lighting positions.

03

Always see a sample panel first

Metallic and lime finishes look completely different at 2 square feet than at 90. We produce a 2×2 foot panel in your own room light and get it signed off before touching the wall.

04

The wall underneath must be perfect

Metallic finishes in particular magnify every undulation. Full putty, sanded flat, is not optional here — this is where most of the preparation time goes.

How we do it

The parts that decide whether it lasts.

Every failure we get called to fix started with one of these being skipped.

Two coats of putty, properly sanded

Wall putty fills the pinholes that make a finished wall look patchy under evening light. One coat rushed is the most common corner cut.

Primer that matches the topcoat system

Using a cheap primer under a premium emulsion voids the paint warranty and costs you a third coat. We use the same manufacturer's system throughout.

Manufacturer dilution, measured

Over-thinning stretches a bucket further and thins your coverage. Our teams dilute by measure, not by eye.

Furniture covered, floors protected

Full sheeting, taped edges, and a cleaned site at the end of each day. You are living in the house while we work.

Step by step

How a feature wall is built.

Sample first, wall second. Never the other way round.

Surface check

We test the existing wall for damp, chalking and loose putty. Painting over a damp wall is the single most common reason a repaint fails within a year.

Preparation

Scraping, crack filling, two coats of putty and sanding. This is 60% of the labour and all of the difference between a good and a bad paint job.

Primer

A full primer coat, tinted towards the topcoat. Skipping primer to save a day is why some walls need three topcoats instead of two.

Two topcoats

Applied with the manufacturer-specified dilution and drying interval between coats. We leave the site cleaned and the furniture back in place.

Good questions

Questions worth asking first.

A typical 10×9 foot wall runs ₹11,000 to ₹40,000 depending on finish. Roller textures sit at the lower end, hand-applied lime and Venetian plaster at the top.

The one that light crosses at an angle — usually the wall perpendicular to your main window. Texture on a flat-lit wall is invisible, and that is the most common way people waste this money.

You can, but we would advise against it in the same room. The effect depends on contrast with plain walls. Two textures in one room read as busy rather than deliberate.

Always. We apply a 2×2 foot panel on your actual wall, in your actual light, and we do not proceed until you have approved it. Metallic finishes especially look nothing like the catalogue at full scale.

Longer than flat paint — 8–10 years typically, because the surface hides marks rather than showing them. The trade-off is that they are harder to repair invisibly if damaged, since they are hand-applied.
