An L-shaped modular kitchen in Bengaluru costs between ₹1.85 lakh and ₹4.2 lakh, depending on shutter finish and hardware. Most Bengaluru 2 and 3 BHKs give you two usable walls with a window on the shorter one. An L uses both and leaves the window clear — which is why it is the default here and not in older independent houses.

An L keeps the fourth side free, so a small dining table or a breakfast counter fits without blocking the door. A U-shape in the same room would close it in.
One corner cabinet is always awkward. We solve it with a magic corner or a carousel rather than pretending a blind corner is storage — that is the single upgrade most worth paying for.

Boiling-water-resistant ply as standard, boiling-waterproof under the sink and near the hob. We do not use MDF or particle board in wet zones — it swells, and no warranty saves a swollen carcass.
2mm PVC banding on every visible edge, 0.8mm inside. Cheap 0.45mm banding lifts within two Bengaluru monsoons; the edge is where a kitchen ages first.

Usually yes, and it keeps the cost down. If the sink has to move more than about 2 feet, the drain slope becomes the constraint, not the cabinetry. We flag this at the measure stage rather than after you have paid.

No, and we keep it separate on purpose. Granite, quartz and Corian vary by more than three times in price, so bundling them hides what you are actually paying for the cabinetry.
