The room that has to be a lounge, a dining room, a home office and a place guests are received. Usually all in the same 200 square feet.
A living room fit-out in Bengaluru costs ₹1.45 lakh to ₹5.2 lakh. That covers a TV unit, false ceiling with lighting, a feature wall and seating layout. Storage and a crockery unit push it towards the upper end.
All four are decided before anything is built, and all four are expensive to change afterwards.

Everything else arranges around it. Get the socket position, viewing distance and concealed wiring decided before any panelling is designed.
Ambient cove, task lamps near seating, and one accent on the feature wall. A single ceiling light in the middle is what makes a good room feel like an office.
In most Bengaluru 2 and 3 BHKs it is. Plan a table that seats four without blocking the path to the kitchen, or a wall-mounted one that folds.

₹1.45 lakh to ₹5.2 lakh. A TV unit and false ceiling alone runs about ₹1.5 lakh; adding a crockery unit, feature wall and full lighting design takes it past ₹3 lakh.
Roughly 1.5 to 2.5 times the screen diagonal. For a 55-inch TV that is 7 to 11 feet. Measure before you fix the TV wall, because it also decides sofa placement.

Wall-mounted furniture with visible floor beneath it, one large mirror on the wall perpendicular to the window, and a single material palette. Multiple finishes in a small room read as clutter.
