Zero corner waste
Every other layout loses a corner to a mechanism or a blind cupboard. A parallel has none. Every rupee you spend on cabinetry becomes storage you can actually reach.

Two facing runs, a clear walkway between them, and no wasted corner. The most efficient kitchen per rupee we build.
A parallel or galley modular kitchen in Bengaluru costs between ₹2.1 lakh and ₹4.8 lakh. Two runs of 8–10 feet each give strong storage with no corner cabinets to waste, which is why cost per usable litre of storage is the lowest of any layout.
No corners means nothing is wasted. That is the whole argument.
Every other layout loses a corner to a mechanism or a blind cupboard. A parallel has none. Every rupee you spend on cabinetry becomes storage you can actually reach.
Sink and prep on one side, hob and serving on the other. You turn, you do not walk. Two people can work back to back without ever crossing paths.
Many flats here give a long room with a utility door at the far end. A parallel keeps that path clear, which an L or U would block.
You need 1.1–1.2m between the runs. Less and drawers on both sides cannot open at once; more and you are walking further than you need to. We measure this before proposing.
Finishes are what you see. These are what decide whether the kitchen is still tight in year eight.
Boiling-water-resistant ply as standard, boiling-waterproof under the sink and near the hob. We do not use MDF or particle board in wet zones — it swells, and no warranty saves a swollen carcass.
2mm PVC banding on every visible edge, 0.8mm inside. Cheap 0.45mm banding lifts within two Bengaluru monsoons; the edge is where a kitchen ages first.
Hettich or Hafele hinges and channels throughout, not just on the display doors. Rated to 50,000 open-close cycles — roughly twenty years of daily use.
Every panel is pre-treated. In ground and first-floor flats around Whitefield and Sarjapur this is the difference between a ten-year unit and a four-year one.
One team, one timeline, one person answering your calls.
A designer measures your actual shell — not the builder drawing. Plumbing points, beam drops and window reveals get recorded, because they decide what is genuinely buildable.
You see the kitchen in 3D with your appliances placed. We fix the work triangle first, storage second, finishes last — in that order.
Panels are cut on a CNC line to the measured drawing. Nothing is cut on your floor, so there is no dust and no on-site improvisation.
Installed in 3–5 days, levelled, and handed over with a written snag list closed. Your warranty starts the day we hand over, not the day you paid.

If the room is too narrow for two runs, one run done well is the answer.
See straight kitchensBetween 1.1 and 1.2 metres. Under 1.1m you cannot open drawers on both sides at once; over 1.3m you lose the efficiency that makes the layout worth choosing.
Under the window if there is one, because washing up is the task you do longest. The hob goes on the opposite run, away from the walkway, so nobody passes behind you while you are cooking.
Per running foot it is the same. Per litre of usable storage it is cheaper, because you are not spending on corner mechanisms. For the same budget you generally get more usable kitchen.
Yes, and better than in an L. Back to back on opposite runs works well. What does not work is both people needing the same run at once, so we plan the prep zone wide enough for two.
We usually stop the cabinetry at about 10 feet and use the far end for a tall unit or the utility door. Running cabinets the full length of a very long room means walking a lot for very little extra storage.
