Stain-resistant paint, for the walls that actually get touched.

Kitchens, kids rooms, hallways and stairwells. The walls where ordinary emulsion gives up first.

The short answer

What stain-resistant emulsion costs.

Stain-resistant emulsion painting in Bengaluru costs ₹28 to ₹45 per square foot of wall area including preparation. It costs roughly 25% more than standard premium emulsion and is genuinely scrubbable, making it worth the premium in kitchens, kids rooms and high-traffic corridors.

What matters here

Where it earns its price, and where it does not.

It is not the right paint for the whole house. It is the right paint for four walls in it.

01

It survives being scrubbed

A tighter film means you can scrub with a soft brush rather than dab with a cloth. Crayon, food splash and hand marks come off without leaving a burnished patch behind.

02

Kitchens are the strongest case

Cooking grease settles on every wall in an Indian kitchen, not just behind the hob. A scrubbable finish is the difference between wiping annually and repainting every three years.

03

Kids rooms and stairwells next

Hand height along a corridor and the wall beside a child's desk take more abuse than anywhere else. These are worth upgrading even when the rest of the house is standard emulsion.

04

Do not pay for it everywhere

A master bedroom wall behind the bed is never touched. Spending the premium on it is money that would do more work in the kitchen. We spec room by room.

How we do it

The parts that decide whether it lasts.

Every failure we get called to fix started with one of these being skipped.

Two coats of putty, properly sanded

Wall putty fills the pinholes that make a finished wall look patchy under evening light. One coat rushed is the most common corner cut.

Primer that matches the topcoat system

Using a cheap primer under a premium emulsion voids the paint warranty and costs you a third coat. We use the same manufacturer's system throughout.

Manufacturer dilution, measured

Over-thinning stretches a bucket further and thins your coverage. Our teams dilute by measure, not by eye.

Furniture covered, floors protected

Full sheeting, taped edges, and a cleaned site at the end of each day. You are living in the house while we work.

Step by step

How the finish is built up.

The same discipline, with a harder topcoat.

Surface check

We test the existing wall for damp, chalking and loose putty. Painting over a damp wall is the single most common reason a repaint fails within a year.

Preparation

Scraping, crack filling, two coats of putty and sanding. This is 60% of the labour and all of the difference between a good and a bad paint job.

Primer

A full primer coat, tinted towards the topcoat. Skipping primer to save a day is why some walls need three topcoats instead of two.

Two topcoats

Applied with the manufacturer-specified dilution and drying interval between coats. We leave the site cleaned and the furniture back in place.

Good questions

Questions worth asking first.

Yes — a tighter paint film lets you use a soft brush rather than only a damp cloth. It is not indestructible: oil-based stains left for weeks will still mark. Cleaned reasonably soon, most household marks come off completely.

No, and we will say so. It costs about 25% more than premium emulsion, and a bedroom wall behind the bed never gets touched. Spend it on the kitchen, kids rooms and corridors where it does real work.

Yes, the full tinting range is available. The sheen tends to run slightly higher than a flat matte, which is part of what makes it cleanable — worth seeing a sample in your own light before choosing a deep colour.

It helps, but bathrooms need paint rated for high humidity and anti-fungal properties specifically. We use a bathroom-grade emulsion there rather than relying on stain resistance alone.

In a kitchen, typically 6–8 years against 3–4 for standard emulsion, because you can clean it rather than repaint it. That is where the premium pays back.
