10 yearsTransferable once

Ten years, with the exclusions printed.

A warranty is only as good as its exclusions, so ours are on this page rather than in the small print you read after something breaks.

The short answer

What the warranty covers.

Our modular work carries a 10-year warranty on manufacturing and workmanship defects — carcass, shutters, edge banding and installation. Hardware carries its manufacturer warranty, typically 5 to 10 years on Hettich and Hafele. The warranty starts at handover, transfers once to a new owner, and its exclusions are published below.

Coverage

What is covered, component by component.

The specific failure modes each component is covered against.

Terms are confirmed on your warranty certificate at handover, which itemises the exact products used in your home.

Exclusions

What is not covered, and why.

Every one of these is a real cause of failure we have seen. Printing them is the difference between a warranty and a marketing line.

Water damage from leaks or flooding

A burst inlet or an overflowing sink will destroy a carcass regardless of grade. This is what home insurance is for. We do cover swelling caused by a manufacturing fault in the board itself.

Physical damage and misuse

Impact, cuts, overloading a loft past about 40kg per bay, or hanging from a shutter. Soft-close hardware fails early if doors are consistently slammed against it.

Work done by someone else

If another contractor cuts into a unit, moves it, or drills through a panel, the warranty on that unit ends. Call us instead — most modifications are straightforward and keep the cover intact.

Natural variation and fading

Veneer and natural stone vary between batches, and deep colours shift under years of direct sunlight. Both are properties of the material, not defects, and we point them out at selection.

Step by step

Making a claim.

Four steps, and none of them involve arguing about whether it is covered.

Send a photograph

WhatsApp or email to the service desk with your invoice number. A photograph usually tells us immediately whether it is a hardware swap or a panel issue.

We respond within a working day

With whether it is covered and what happens next. If it is not covered, we say so and quote the repair rather than going quiet.

Site visit within three days

For anything affecting daily use. Cosmetic items are scheduled within ten working days.

Repair or replace

Hardware is usually swapped on the visit. Panels are remade at the factory and fitted on a second visit, at no cost where covered.

Good questions

Questions about the warranty.

Manufacturing and workmanship defects in modular carcass, shutters, edge banding and installation — delamination, swelling from a manufacturing fault, banding lifting, carcass joints failing, and units coming out of alignment. Hardware carries the manufacturer warranty, typically 5–10 years on Hettich and Hafele.

Water damage from a plumbing leak or flooding, physical damage, damage from modifications made by someone else, normal wear on moving parts, and colour change from prolonged direct sunlight. All of these are printed on the certificate rather than raised at claim time.

Yes, once, to the next owner, with the original certificate and invoice. Interiors add value at resale and a transferable warranty is part of that value.

A response within one working day and a site visit within three for anything affecting daily use — a shutter that will not close, a drawer that has failed. Cosmetic items are scheduled within ten working days.

Very little. Do not let standing water sit against a carcass, do not overload a loft beyond about 40kg per bay, and use the soft-close rather than slamming. There is no annual servicing requirement and no registration to forget.

Ask us what happens in year eight.

It is a fair question, and the answer is on this page. Bring the harder ones to a designer.
